about me
For over 15 years in diversity, equity, and inclusiveness, I've built unique and innovative recruitment, learning, and development strategies across the fashion, technology, marketing, advertising, and nonprofit sectors. My professional journey has always been guided by pursuing purpose-driven work that brings about systemic change, solving complex challenges, and working alongside some of the most impactful leaders across various industries.
Some of my proudest accomplishments include:
Leading transformative recruitment efforts as Co-Chair of Teach For America’s first Black Male Teacher Recruitment Initiative, Dream.Rise.Do—which drove a 200% increase in the number of Black male educators accepted into the corps in just one year (2013–2014), helping reshape narratives and representation in classrooms nationwide.
Shaping the national conversation on educational equity as a founding member of UNCF’s K–12 Advocacy Team and National Community Engagement Manager, advancing the P–16 pipeline for Black students and families through strategic partnerships, grassroots advocacy, and policy influence across the United States.
Driving enterprise-level culture transformation at scale by designing and executing a global “Day of Learning” at Google, engaging over 12,000+ employees across Devices & Services (Nest, Pixel, Design, FitBit, Stadia) and cross-functional teams. The initiative fostered deep learning around DEI, allyship, racial equity, and social justice, establishing a model for embedding inclusion into business culture.
Investing in my professional development by becoming a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE)® through The Institute for Diversity Certification (IDC)® and a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter through AIRS (an ADP Company)
Outside of work, I love dedicating my time to causes that create pathways for underserved communities to further their educational aspirations through tennis and the arts. [Fun fact: I have played tennis since age four and once ranked as a top junior in the United States and internationally.] Currently, I serve as a member of the Young Patrons Circle with the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, a Board Member of the American Tennis Association, and the United States Tennis Association - Mid Atlantic Region's Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
My other interests include binge-watching shows on Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video, revisiting old-school tennis matches on YouTube, spending time with my two adorable miniature golden doodles, Baptiste and Pasqua (pictured on the right), and offering my time and efforts to the community with my brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.
